You may be wondering why I talk about the Human Brain when I discuss about Leadership Development. Some have already called me and started asking me about this relationship. Brain and Leaders are very much correlated. The Brain has taught us how to learn Leadership. Many consultants do not see this relationship, thus their Leadership Learning Development falls apart. To teach or develop Leadership, you must understand how the brain works when it comes to learning that brings about behavioural changes. If learning does not affect behavioural, please do not waste time and money on the program. Retention of learning, application of learned practices and results can only happen if there is behavioural changes to the participants. For a start what your brain see, may not be the truth...example;
Look at the two squares in the picture above. What you see are two squares, on top of the other. The two equal squares, to your brain has two colors. One grey and the other silver. Right?
The truth is, both are the same color, grey. If you do not believe me, do this; Take a finger and cover horizontally the centre (where the two squares meet) of the two squares. Look at the color.
This is a simple truth to prove that some consultants tend to teach Leadership Development wrongly by providing a wrong Learning Method or Process and your brains cannot see this and could not bring about behavioural change.
